Re: How can you trust your mind?
Sun, November 25, 2007 - 1:45 PMWas able to switch several times, but not exactly when I wanted to. If the gif animation pauses (because of the MS crud running on your machine), concentrate on when it starts up again. Also, following the outside foot seemed to help. Makes you wonder how much more of this happens on a daily basis, in healthy and unhealthy minds. -

Re: How can you trust your mind?
Sun, November 25, 2007 - 11:09 PMThis is puzzing...
I first saw her turning clockwise --but if I thought about her going the other way, she'd do a little pause and turn around and go counter-clockwise.
...and I thought I didn't have a left brain...

Re: How can you trust your mind?
Mon, January 14, 2008 - 2:39 PMWhen they say "(anti-)clockwise" in the article, do they mean with the clock facing up or with the clock facing down? Because you know, if the clock faces down, then clockwise and counter clockwise are inverted. :) I'm pretty sure I saw it both ways -- I hit the page and saw it one way and then when I started reading it seemed to switch... but I don't seem able to control how I see it on a conscious level. Oh wait... wow... I can switch it ... I had to place my hand over the body of the silhouette so I could just see the foot at the bottom, but if I just focus on the center foot for a moment with the rest of it blocked out (which apparently distracts me from the task of flipping), then I can definitely flip it consciously, though it does take a moment of concentration to accomplish... That's cool! :)
